Privacy Policy

Short version
Your documents are processed entirely in your browser. We never receive, store, or transmit your file data. The converter has no backend file-handling infrastructure.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
File content: When you use the WordToMD converter, your .docx file is read
locally by your browser's FileReader API. The file bytes are never transmitted
to WordToMD servers. We have no capability to access your document content.
Personally identifiable information: WordToMD does not require account registration. We collect no names, email addresses, or other PII.
2. Information Automatically Collected
Like all web servers, our infrastructure logs standard HTTP request data, which may include:
- IP address (anonymized where possible)
- Browser type and version (User-Agent header)
- Pages visited and timestamps
- Referring URL
This data is used solely for security monitoring, error diagnosis, and aggregate analytics (e.g., total page views). It is not linked to individual user identities and is not sold to third parties.
3. Cookies
WordToMD does not set any first-party cookies. If we integrate third-party analytics in the future, this section will be updated to describe them.
4. Third-Party Services
WordToMD is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Cloudflare may process network request metadata as part of its CDN and DDoS protection services. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google may log font request data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Children's Privacy
WordToMD is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
